TIDAL hi-res tracks cannot be played at full resolution when casting with Google or Chromecast

TIDAL made this statement after moving to FLAC playback: "Now all HiFi Plus subscribers can stream in HiRes FLAC on your Chromecast-supported devices via Google Cast within the TIDAL App. Please note, any file that is greater than 24-bit/48kHz will be streamed as 16-bit/44.1kHz if connected through Chromecast."

So, as a result, the only way to have full resolution from TIDAL is to play back from Prisma for critical listening, while using the native TIDAL app at 16/44.1 kHz for discovery and casual listening with the knowledge that any liked track or album, as well as playlist created will be shown in those categories within TIDAL embedded in the Prisma application.
